The annual National Solar Tour is available to show the progress of solar installations locally and across the country.  We invite people to come view our church’s system and learn about solar energy.  The SPUMC has solar panels on the sanctuary roof as well as the education wing provided by the Couillard Solar Foundation.  The system is about 100 Kw and is connected to the electric grid.  On October 1st from 10:00-4:00, the Couillard Solar Foundation invites you to come to a local solar tour event at their office at 10 Liberty St. in Deerfield,
featuring a solar scavenger hunt, demonstrations, food and music.
