"Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before God with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is God who made us, and we are God's; we are God's people, the sheep of God's pasture." --Psalm 100:1-3

After prayerful discernment and conversations with staff, ministry groups, and volunteers, our Church Leadership Board has made the decision to move to one worship service on Sunday mornings. Beginning Sunday, December 29, 2024, our Sunday worship will be at 9 am. With the new worship schedule, we will share in Fellowship Time following the service at 10 am and Sunday school and other classes will be from 10:15-11 am.

Ways of being the church and how we share worship are continually changing. We learned quickly during the Pandemic how to offer online worship, which continues to meet the ways many people worship from different places and at different times other than Sunday morning. Moving to one Sunday worship service is in response to the changes we are seeing in the patterns of how people worship.

When we moved to one worship service during the summer, it was nice to have a full sanctuary and see people we may not see when we are split between two services. After returning to two services in the fall, our 10:45 am service has consistently been low in attendance and it has been more difficult to find volunteers to support all that goes into making the worship service happen each week. With one worship service, the quality of our worship will remain strong and our music ministry will be a big part of that. We are grateful to our music directors and leaders who continue to bring
beautiful music to worship.

We will continue to have multiple worship services on Christmas Eve and two worship services on Easter. It is also important to know that the gift of our online worship is that people can worship when it is best for them due to work or life schedules. By midweek each week, we consistently have more than 100 online worshippers from Sun Prairie and nearby communities, as well as many different parts of the state and country.

We know that anytime there is a change in worship schedules, it is an adjustment. Thank you for working with our church staff and leadership as we faithfully offer the best worship we can to the glory of God. Again, this change to one worship service will start on Sunday, December 29 at 9 am.

I look forward to our continued worship together!

Blessings,
Jenny

Our church office will be closed Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
