Pastor of Youth and Young Adult Ministries

Brief info

Claire is the Pastor of Youth and Young Adult Ministries. She is a provisional elder in the United Methodist Church working towards her ordination. Claire previously served as the pastor of several churches in Wisconsin, as a youth director, as a chaplain at Glacier National park and two terms in AmeriCorps. Claire is passionate about young people, the environment and the United Methodist Church. Claire lives in Stoughton with her husband Rev. Kory Douglass who is an ordained deacon in the United Methodist Church, their golden retriever Hero and their two cats Nyssa and Elkan.

Claire began her ministry serving at Pine Lake United Methodist Camp where a common phrase to get everyone's attention is "God is good, all the time." This has become a heart statement for Claire along with Psalm 27:13-14, " I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart, wait for the Lord." She believes that we can see a bit of God's goodness showing everywhere we look.
