Ash Wednesday

Drive Thru Ashes & Coffee at the Conference Center parking lot, on the corner of Bird and Windsor St., from 7:30-8:30 am

7 pm Worship in the church sanctuary and Livestream.  Our Chancel Choir will offer music.

From the Garden of Eden to the Garden of Gethsemane to the garden in which Jesus was buried and raised, our faith stories move through a variety of fertile soil.  We will journey through Lent with this in mind.  Our Wednesday, Sunday and Online Lenten study will use a curriculum called Just Like Me, that uses the theme of gardens to look deeper into Scripture, growing in our faith and community engagement.  We will also bring in other resources to help us think together about, In the Garden.  No need to purchase a book for this study. 

Our two Grace Café groups and Men’s Group will use a Lenten study book titled A Time to Grow:  Lenten Lessons from the Garden to the Table.  It is written by Kara Eidson, a UM pastor in Kansas.

Help Our Church Gardens Grow:

With our theme of In the Garden, our Lenten collection will support the beautiful gardens outdoors around our church grounds.  We will have a variety of ways you will be able to support this project.

We’re excited to invite you to a special Palm Sunday service! Get ready to wave your palms high and join in our fun Palm Parade during the service. 🌴

Here’s what you can look forward to:

Palm Parade: March down the aisle waving your palm branches and celebrating Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem.

Exciting Stories: Hear the amazing story of Palm Sunday and why it’s such a special day.

Fun Crafts: Stick around for Sunday School where you will get to make a fun craft to celebrate.

Maundy Thursday/Tenebrae Service with a live reenactment of the Last Supper – April 17, 7 pm Sanctuary and Livestream.

Join us in the Sanctuary for a time of individual prayer during the hours that Jesus suffered between noon and 3 pm.  Guided prayer resources will be available if you wish to use them or just spend time in quiet prayer.
