Our LONGEST NIGHT WORSHIP SERVICE will be on Thursday evening, December 21 at 6:30 pm. The service will be in our Chapel, an intimate and inviting space. It will be a quiet, meditative worship service that gives us time and opportunity to remember, share hurting places with God and move toward healing so that our hearts might be prepared for the observance of Jesus’ birth.
For many of us, Christmas is a bittersweet time of year. It is especially so for those of us who are grieving the loss of loved ones, who have difficult family relationships, who struggle with addictions, physical and mental illness, depression or stress, and who feel deeply the pain of those in our world who suffer the effects of disaster and war. In our Longest Night Service, we gather together as a community to express and acknowledge these conflicting emotions and still feel surrounded by the compassionate love of God.
