“…be filled with the Spirit, as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks to God at all times and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
As we enter into this week of Thanksgiving in our part of the world, I offer you words of blessing by Saint Teresa of Avila, who lived between 1515-1582. She was a well-known Roman Catholic mystic from Spain.
May her words offer you peace and blessing as we give thanks.
“May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.”
